Scope
This policy explains how FullbookTranslate collects and handles information when you visit the website, request a quote, upload a book, purchase a translation, or contact support.
Information We Collect
- Account and contact information: email address, profile details, authentication identifiers, and support messages.
- Book and translation content: uploaded source files, extracted text, language choices, glossary entries, author-mode guidance, previews, and translated outputs.
- Task and order information: filenames, file size and type, character counts, task status, output references, price, currency, payment-provider references, and refund records.
- Technical and security information: IP address, browser and device category, request timestamps, diagnostic events, and fraud-prevention signals.
Stripe and PayPal process payment credentials. We do not store complete payment-card numbers.
How We Use Information
- Analyze the source file and provide a price or preview.
- Translate, quality-check, assemble, store, and deliver the requested files.
- Process payments, refunds, support requests, and transactional messages.
- Secure the service, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and improve reliability.
- Send marketing messages only where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted by applicable law.
We do not sell uploaded book content or use it to train our own general-purpose models.
Service Providers and Data Flows
We share only the information needed to operate the service:
- Railway and PostgreSQL: application hosting, task coordination, account data, and order records.
- Cloudflare R2: temporary source files and downloadable translation artifacts.
- Translation-model providers: relevant text segments, language settings, glossary content, and translation guidance needed to translate and quality-check a book. The provider may vary by language, availability, and task route.
- Stripe and PayPal: payment processing, fraud prevention, refunds, and payment records.
- Cloudflare Email Service: transactional email such as task completion and support messages.
- Axiom and Sentry: operational logs, diagnostics, and error monitoring. Book text is not intentionally included in analytics events.
- Optional analytics providers: first-party page-view analytics and, when configured, tools such as Google Analytics, Plausible, Microsoft Clarity, or PostHog.
Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy commitments. We may change providers while keeping the purposes described above substantially the same.
File and Record Retention
- Temporary files used only to produce a quote or preview expire after their staging window.
- Unless a longer period is shown in the product, downloadable task files are retained for 3 days. After expiry, a download may no longer be recoverable.
- Account, task, order, payment, refund, fraud-prevention, and support records may be retained longer where needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet accounting or legal obligations.
- Deleted data may remain in restricted backups until the normal backup rotation completes.
You should download completed files promptly and keep your own backup. Contact us if you want to request deletion of eligible account or content data.
Security and Confidentiality
We use TLS in transit, access controls, separated application credentials, and operational monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so do not upload material that you are not authorized to process.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or obtain a portable copy of eligible personal information. You may also unsubscribe from marketing messages without affecting transactional messages.
Cookies and Analytics
Necessary cookies support authentication, security, locale, and session continuity. Analytics integrations load only when they are configured for this deployment.
First-party operational page views exclude URL query parameters. Where an IP-derived identifier is used for abuse prevention or aggregate analytics, it is transformed before storage in the analytics event.
International Processing
Providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate contractual and technical safeguards for those transfers.
Children's Privacy
The service is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete eligible data.
Policy Updates
We may update this policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page.
